THE ECHO by MARSHA BURNS
Vision: I was in the Spirit and saw two mountains with a valley running between them. Someone was standing on an outcropping, a high place overlooking the valley below. Conditions were perfect for his own voice to be echoed back to himself. He began to shout things to encourage himself. He shouted conditions and attitudes that would create victory over his circumstances. He shouted words of faith in God. He shouted what he wanted to become, and strength came into his spirit, soul, and body. The more he shouted, the more he believed, and the stronger he became. 1 Samuel 30:6b ...David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.
It is important for us to encourage ourselves by reminding ourselves of God’s word, and His power in our lives.
What we say to ourselves and to others is vitally important. It will either bring forth good or bad fruit.
Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
Sometimes, we need to change whatever is in our hearts so that we can speak good things.
The first thing we need to establish as heart truth is that we are not victims; we are victorious in all things.
We sometimes need to change our attitudes before we begin to speak.
2 Corinthians 4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak.
We need to examine what we really believe in our hearts about our condition and circumstances before we talk about it. That is where we can begin to make a difference in our lives.
We get what we believe and say, but not necessarily what we desire.
We often forget that our sowing is also in our saying and not just in our doing.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Mark 4:24 Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.”
We need to hear the truth of the Word of God.
When I was a new believer, I would read the Word of God out loud so that my eyes read the words, my mouth spoke the words, and my ears heard the words. It was very powerful.
This is very similar to the vision of the man’s voice echoing back to himself.
When we live in the Spirit, we can (by the Spirit) call forth those things that do not exist as though they did.
Speak things that bring strength to your body, soul and spirit—as you believe.
These are some things that I believe and speak that echo back to me:
I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! I have faith in God’s word and walk in perfect obedience. I walk in liberty of body, soul, spirit and finances. I am free from all infirmity and disease and walk in perfect health. My soul is at peace. I am prospering in all things because it is well with my soul. I walk in the Spirit and do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The word of truth is my compass. I walk in truth and humility. I live in the Spirit and my life is in Divine Order. I move in the flow of the Spirit. I maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. No weapon formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises up against me, my family, or my church is condemned. That is my heritage as a servant of God.
This could be a time for you to examine what you have been speaking to yourself that has not brought life, health, prosperity and blessing.
What is it that you believe in your heart about your circumstances? You may know the truth of the Word of God, but not believe it for yourself. If this is the case, you need to re-establish yourself in faith and speak the right things so that things will change.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word.
What you hear, what you believe, and what you speak will set you on a path of righteousness and blessing or will pave the way to destruction.
The good thing is that you get to choose. You will either produce good fruit or bad fruit. It’s all up to you!
