GRACE SPACE by Marsha Burns:
The spiritual new year begins with Rosh Hashanah, which means literally "head of the year" in Hebrew. We also refer to it as the Feast of Trumpets. I have sought God for His guidance for the coming year, and the following are some visions and words that He has given me: Make Grace Your Space The first phrase He spoke to me was, "Make grace your space". Grace can be generally defined as God’s favor toward the unworthy or God’s benevolence on the undeserving. Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. If grace came through Jesus and He sent His Holy Spirit to help us, then if He wants us to live in that grace space, we need His Spirit to do so. Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. That means continually, not just visiting God’s grace from time to time, but making it a way of life by abiding in the Spirit.
The Key
I saw a single key, and the Lord said that the key IS the Holy Spirit. He is the key to spiritual life and growth. 1 Corinthians 12:7-10 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Upheaval
Regarding the upcoming year there are three things that I believe all mean the same thing: I believe these visions mean that we are going to have a stormy year ahead.
Psalm 18:16-19 He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because he delighted in me.
Protection Zone
I saw a person in protective gear that looked like a space suit and a fence with a sign hanging on it that read "Protection Zone".
We must not become cavalier by having no concern over serious and harmful conditions. Be safe by staying protected!
A Time For Everything
I saw a bunch of eggs in a nest, which means that there are things still in the developmental stage that will take time to hatch or come forth. We just have to wait and see.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
Similarly, I saw a really dense forest that I could not see into. I would have to walk into it see what was really there. This also has to do with hidden things that have yet to be revealed in due time.
Supernatural Illumination
The next three visions were of a flock of birds taking flight, a beautiful snowy landscape, and a hand holding a glowing light bulb.
We are the birds taking flight and rising into the realm of the Spirit. The snow covering the landscape represents the purity and righteousness of God’s wisdom poured out from above to give us supernatural illumination.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.
The Mosaic The Lord showed me a mosaic made from pieces of all different sizes, colors, and shapes that produced a beautiful and artistic design. This represents God’s diverse people working together in unity and peace.
Ephesians 4:1-6 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Finally, I saw a sign that read: How we live is what makes us real!
1. A huge tidal wave that was going to engulf an island.
2. An extraordinary volcanic eruption flowing down a mountain.
3. Menacing storm clouds over the ocean.
