OK!!! Do this—get over it! Once again get on with summer planning. Friday night about 4.5 inches of show came and today is the beginning of daylight savings time—meaning that it’s summer time!
Or at least in my mind we are supposed to be moving into or towards summer! So now, we must remember God’s word, This is not a time in which to be discouraged.
And, I remember this—discouragement kills faith!
The Trumpet: Discouragement becomes your agreement with Satan’s activities. This agreement will neutralize My word and thus My promises.
The title of this message is Agreement. The question is always who are you agreeing with?
Jesus on agreement!
Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”
The Missing Element is patience! That is the ability to bear trials without grumbling; perseverance.
Colossians 1: 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
“For all patience” with joy!
What!!! Joy for what? Verse 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
And… Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
The Fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…
Longsuffering is patient endurance.
Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
Remember this:
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
We don’t always know the right time or the best outcome, but God does. So, it is best to trust Him and remain calm.
The Trumpet: If you will learn to trust Me in all things, then your faith will remain active. Active faith is required if your desire is to allow Me to work things out to your benefit. Therefore, do not allow discouragement to become a part of your behavior. Trust Me in all things.
