WIND OF THE SPIRIT IS BLOWING

John 3:8  "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
 
Where is the wind blowing, what is the Holy Spirit accomplishing on the earth?  I can’t see where the wind comes from, and I can’t tell where the wind is going, but I can see its affects on my immediate environment.  I see the grass leaning and swaying, and I hear the sound of the wind whistling around my house.  What I want to know is what is it (what is HE) the Holy Spirit accomplishing where I am?  I care about what the spirit of the Lord is doing right here, right now.
 
We are about to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the first of the High Holy Days, the beginning of the new year according to the Hebrew calendar. 
 
I always like to look back at the past year to see what God has done in the natural, how the wind has blown in our lives, to get an overview of the season we are in. 
 
It has been a year of change on every level as God has swept the foundation clean.
The church was repainted and redecorated to symbolize this cleansing and newness.
We started a prayer meeting purposed to only pray God’s will by faith.
 
1 Corinthians 3:
11  For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12  Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
13  each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
14  If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15  If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
16  Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
 
We are in a new move of God, a revival!  What does this revival look like?
 
When I think of revival, I think of people getting saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit, the laughter movement, gold dust and oil being poured out, people falling under the power of the Spirit and getting stuck to the floor.
 
I liked having those experiences, but I also know that when a new wave of God’s power comes upon His people, we see the moving of His Spirit and yield to Him, but the devil always gets involved with counterfeit manifestations, and our flesh gets involved to try to control or even perhaps improve the revival.
 
This “revival” doesn’t look anything like any move of God we’ve ever experienced.  You’re not going to hear much about it because it doesn’t have to do with any particular church or preacher.  It won’t be news-worthy because it is too quiet; no hype; people won’t flock to places like Azusa Street or Brownsville or Toronto. 
This is a revival of quiet and simple obedience to God.  The foundation has been swept of all human effort … no more programs to try to stir up people’s interest in the church; no more flesh.  We are determined to wait on the Lord and do NOTHING unless and until we get clear direction from Him. 
 
We are of a generation that tries to make everything bigger than life, but when we do that the focus is on us, on what we’re doing, instead of on God alone. 
 
This is a revival of silence on our part where we learn to shut up and listen, to hear, to discern, to see spiritually, to get deeper revelation of the Word. This is a revival of growing up in Him, and no longer children playing church. 
 
Ephesians 4:
11  And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12  for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14  that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
15  but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
16  from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
 
Our main theme is Redemption – everyone and everything that Satan has taken control of must be redeemed -- whether souls, lands, houses, churches, etc. – as the Spirit leads.
 
Small Straws:  The battle of the ages is raging to transform you into the image of Christ while Satan also tries to make you into his image.  I have given you free will, the ability to choose, says the Lord.  The enemy has increased his pressure through your circumstances, difficulties, and persecutions to choose to respond to life with evil instead of good.  But, I have given you My Word to influence and guide your choices.  Be wise!  Revelation 22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
 
So, we carry on with the work of redemption through taking advantage of every opportunity to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, and to generally bring life and light to every place of darkness. 
 
Small Straws In A Soft Wind:
 
“I am bringing you into alignment on every level.  It is My will to position you properly so that My purposes can be accomplished and My kingdom established.  You may not think that you, as an individual, have much to do with destiny.  But, everything you think, say, or do is vitally important to the spiritual condition of your sphere of influence.  Be diligent to demonstrate the kingdom.”
“You have been repositioned as you have had to let go of many things that once meant everything too you.  This has been for the purpose of establishing you in greater spiritual reality with renewed strength and vitality.  You have stepped into a time of being reconnected to your spiritual roots yet with refreshing revelation.”
 
“The days ahead will be filled with My glory in the practical and commonplace things of life as you maintain awareness and see My manifest presence in unexpected ways.  Walk in the Spirit and be available.”
 
“Events that left you reeling and trying to find stability and balance will now truly become a thing of the past as you begin to realize how insignificant it all was as compared with eternity and destiny.  The power of My healing and restoration will become evident as you are able to release those who caused you pain.  Forgiveness is essential to redemption.”
 
“I have established an altar in the heavenlies, in the realm of the Spirit, where you can bring all that concerns you, things you can do nothing about, and things you have absolutely no control over.  Leave them with Me and release your fear and anxiety.  Nothing is impossible with Me. Come into that place of peace and rest, trusting Me in all things.”
 
“You feel like you’ve been cut off, but this cutting off has only been from those things that needed to be put aside at this time.  You are like a tree that has been cut off and banded so that your spiritual roots could go deeper and you could become stronger.  Let your roots go deeper in the Word, in revelation, and relationship to Me.  The day of release will come in due season.”
 
“There are times when you feel totally disconnected and alone.  This is because the enemy of your soul has lied to you and tried to isolate and weaken you.  But, that is not My design or plan for you.  Now is the time to reconnect spiritually, first to Me, and then to those who are Mine.  Take the time and make the effort to re-establish yourself in divine connections and kingdom purpose.”
 
“Allow Me to take you forward inch by inch, step by step, without fear or worry.  I am with you and will open doors that no man can shut and to shut doors that no man can open.  Trust Me with your future.  I have already proven to you over and over again that I alone am your place of security, says the Lord.”
