Pay Attention to the Signals
7 January 2012
Beloved, walk in the Spirit. Set a watch for the enemy to come with the
temptation of presumption that will entice you to move apart from My leading
and place you in a position of dangerous exposure to the enemy's attack.
Even as a traffic signal directs your movements through a dangerous
intersection, I will direct you in safety through every obstacle the enemy
places before you. Listen and look for the checks and witnesses of My Spirit
within, for by them you will know when to go, when to stop, and when to slow
down and wait for Me to lead you forward. Resist every form of presumption!
Presumption (Webster's 1828 Dictionary)
---Blind or headstrong confidence
---A venturing to undertake something without reasonable prospect of
success, or against the usual probabilities of safety
---Arrogance
---Unreasonable confidence in divine favor
Psalm 19:19
Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of
great transgression.
