I had a dream about a wolf spider, which represents
the doorkeeper in this current spiritual atmosphere. His first defense
is deception when we invade new territory. We need to be past allowing
discouragement to disable us or whatever weakness the lie can trigger.
The wolf spider is a predator, a solitary and agile hunter.
I wonder how many of us struggled through fatigue and a feeling of being
disconnected?
These are characteristics of this demonic “wolf spider” attack:
The spider always represents deception – a lying spirit.
The wolf spider often hides in burrows, sometimes with a trap door – a
doorkeeper.
It instills fear.
The wolf spider is a solitary creature, so it can create a sense of
isolation.
It sucks the life out of its victim.
Deception
This demonic attack will use a very subtle form of deception and will
prey on your weaknesses.
For instance, if you are easily discouraged, the temptation will be
negativity and discouragement with regard to your spiritual position,
health, relationships, work, or finances.
Doorkeeper
If deception can open the door to activate your flesh, the trap is set
to take you down.
Fear
The first fear that we always react to is that “something is wrong.” We
may not know what it is that’s wrong, but we are afraid of what that
might be.
Isolation
The lying spirit will work together with fear and discouragement, a
spirit of heaviness, to make you feel isolated, alone, and lonely. They
will work with a seducing spirit through discontentment to try to cause
you to escape your misery through some kind of fantasy or escape to
satisfy your flesh.
Fatigue
This attack will suck the life out of you, leaving you tired, lethargic,
sleepy. This also will cause us to want to give up, do nothing – it is
a spirit of death. And, it will cause us to be complacent in our
spiritual walk because we just don’t have the energy.
So, we are dealing with five spirits, but they will come in ways that we
don’t recognize them so that they can keep us from establishing
ourselves in new spiritual territory. This attack is to keep us from
being effective in the Kingdom.
Lying spirit can manifest as condemnation, negativity, exaggeration,
fantasy – being lied to.
John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your
father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does
not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks
a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father
of it.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in
Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to
the Spirit.
Spirit of fear can manifest as anxiety, stress, irrational behavior,
worry.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power
and of love and of a sound mind.
Spirit of heaviness can manifest as despair, gloominess, loneliness,
sadness, exhaustion.
Isaiah 61:
1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed
Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of
the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance
of our God; to comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting
of the LORD, that He may be glorified."
Seducing spirit can manifest as enticement, escape, allurement.
Deuteronomy 13:5 "But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams (that
lying devil) shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to
turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of
Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the
way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put
away the evil from your midst.
Proverbs 7:21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with
her flattering lips she seduced him.
Spirit of death can manifest as lack of motivation, withdrawal,
complacency, giving up.
Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, and
the complacency of fools will destroy them.
Zephaniah 1:12 "And it shall come to pass at that time That I will
search Jerusalem with lamps, And punish the men Who are settled in
complacency, Who say in their heart, ‘The LORD will not do good, Nor
will He do evil.’
John 6:
63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The
words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
64 "But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from
the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray
Him.
65 And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to
Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."
66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him
no more.
67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have
the words of eternal life.
We bind these
attacks, and what we bind, prohibit, or shut the door on is done in the
name of Jesus. AMEN
