Have the scales fallen from our eyes so that we see things as they are or have we remained blind? Are we still concerned only with getting what we want, or have we finally come to understand that there actually are other people in this world with us? Sometimes this comes as a huge shock, but there really are other lives affected by the things we say and do. What things have your words done lately? Have they built up, or have they torn down? Are you doing what you would want others to do to you, or for you? Everywhere we go every idle word we speak and every selfish thing we do is being recorded. Are we ready to stand and justify them all? Not just the things that everyone already knows about, but all things hidden will be answered publicly on the last day. The real issues of our personalities and our true feelings about others will become known, so the question is, are we living the life Christ lived? Have we heard His command to love one another and are we doing it? The biggest thing most of us need to get over, around, through and have moved out of our way is us. The issues within us are the things causing us to do what we do. If love is coming out of us it’s because love has been found within us. Lord, save us from ourselves.
