Here are some things that hinder our prayers:
1. Unconfessed sin
2. Insincerity
3. Carnal motives
4. Unbelief
5. Demonic activity
6. Pride
7. Refusing to forgive or be forgiven

Father, I come before You and express my desire to have a greater level of effectiveness in prayer than I do today.

I ask You to show me any unconfessed sin, insincerity, or areas in my life where I fail to believe Your Word. I ask You to reveal to me, the times
when I act with carnal motive. I ask Your Spirit to reveal to me, all my hidden areas of pride. And Father, I ask also for revelation of areas where I have failed to forgive.

Finally, Father, enable me to increase in discernment of demonic activity, and allow Your Spirit to lead and guide me through acknowledgment, confession, repentance, and healing at the level of soul and spirit, for any of these sins, as You show them to me. Let Your Word and Your Spirit
be glorified in my life.

Amen!

Angela G.

Dear Faith,

Thank you for writing. I rejoice that this is a time we - the corporate Body - will all rise together in unity to the new plateau
that God has for us. I rejoice that you as my sister are coming with us! I rejoice that the light you shine will be a beacon
of hope in a world of darkness. Bless you this day!

Angela

Thank you Marsha for those points. It's Amazing that the Father has pulled us all to this place. Like many others have said, the prophetic word of the day always seems to be directed towards me and when I come to the forum, it's as if we are all going through similar things. Like today - "a sense of waiting, watching and uncertainty" and "we don't have a strong sense of what's ahead. Therefore, we find ourselves becoming more introspective." That is so true to what is happening to me right now.

I didn't know where to put this comment so I just put it here 'cos I wanted to share.

Bless you,
Princess Ayo

Hello

Just wanted to let you know there is a wealth of information on this forum that God has given the leadership regarding deliverance. You can find it under "Warfare and Deliverance" and scrolling down to "Generational Curses", "Binding", and "Road to Personal Freedom"

Be blessed,
Nannette

What's sad is that so many of Gods' elect don't think about things like this when they get upset and wonder why God doesn't hear their prayers. if they'd only stop and read that in His word. A heart that's stained with sin won't be listened to by the Father of all.

Refusing to be forgiven means that you will not receive forgiveness because you feel unworthy and want to punish yourself. That will definitely hinder prayer
.

This is what I struggle with. I just felt I needed to say this outloud. I have a been getting some relief in the past year, but I feel so much shame. It is being shed in layers. But shame goes deep.
Thank you all for hearing me. I appreciate you all so much. God is so good.

Vicki,

I think we all experience moments of shame, but the enemy will use it to demoralize us if he can. What I have to do when I am under that attack of self-condemnation is to make a choice not to focus on myself or what I've done wrong in the past, but to get my eyes back on Jesus, knowing that His blood covers my sin and shame. I also know that we do the best we can; if we could do better we would. Sometimes we just don't have the mental and emotional resources to do any better in a particular situation, and that's when we have to rely on the Lord for His wisdom, His strength, and His ability through us.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Marsha, Thank you for those kind and healing words. I think the part where you said that we do the best we can at the time meant the most because that is something I want to remember... that really it was the best at the time. Also remembering to keep my eyes on Jesus and focus on Him is truely the only thing that will ever get me where I want to be and where Jesus died for me to be able to be.
Thanks for responding and for all your healing words. This forum has been a powerful part of my healing process. Thank you for your faithfulness and also to others who write on this forum with only the purpose of uplifting Jesus and bringing healing and power to His people.
