I continue to be amazed at God's revealing to his children by The Holy Spirit. The other night my husband and I were talking and realized that our walk with the Lord was not as close as it was at one point. I ask him the question why when I have been in a meeting and have not experienced the same annointing as others (such as being slain in the spirit) and he said, "You were not ready."
His response took me by somewhat of a surprise because I realized that THE HOLY SPIRIT was speaking through him. I felt God's presence in a mighty way and the tone of my husband's voice even changed to a softer tone. He begin to speak almost exactly what Marsha posted concerning seeking God's face for the gifts and annointing. I wrote some of what he said down.......
Eat and drink just enough to sustain and fill yourself with The Word. Devour The Word and let The Word become you. Speak The Word and you will begin to speak to others with great wisdom and insight. Don't allow yourself to get caught up in things of the world. Come broken before the Lord as an empty vessel. Pour out everything that is in you- all your wants, desires, everything! Even and especially your will. Then present yourself before the Lord. Ask Him to fill the void with The Holy Spirit. Focus on the Lord and allow The Holy Spirit to lead you. Keep an attitude of prayer and be quiet before the Lord. Allow The Holy Spirit to speak through you. Do not force it, just let it flow. Be quiet and be silent before the Lord. The Holy Spirit will speak. You may speak an utterance before the Lord. Stay there in His presence until The Holy Spirit releases you. You will have respect from all people, others will feel the annointing of The Holy Spirit when you enter a room. People will be healed by your touch and possible even just your presence in a room due to the heavy annointing. The Holy Spirit will take you places you never dreamed and will give you the desires of your heart. You will know other people spirit. You will be able to look at people and see the exact cause of their hurt.
I know this is long but I was amazed that Marsha's post said so much of the same thing. I don't know why... God speaks to us through The Holy Spirit and sends confirmation. I know it is time that I pursued holiness with my whole being and begin to enjoy the abundant life like never before!

I thank God daily for your encouragement and prophetic daily word in these unsettling times. I too have been blessed with the spirit of discernment and trust me when I say it is not always a pretty thing.

God has increased my intersessory prayer life and at times when I go into my prayer closet he shows me people, places, and even gives me names of people to intercede for. Oftentimes these are people I do not know, places I've never been, and some of the visions and dreams that I get are very unsettling. There have been many times when the Holy Spirit will wake me a 3:00 o'clock on the dot and I have a strong urge to pray for someone that I do not know. I guess I am a watchman on the wall.

I plead the Blood of Jesus over myself and my family daily as this increases. I have also been attacked at night, as have my son, son-in-law, and daughter, who all have a calling on their lives as well. I've always managed to cry out the name of Jesus and the attack will stop! I've taught them how to apply the Blood and the Word of God when under attack. There is POWER in his name! I take my mantle seriously and I cherish the gift that God has given me, because it is solely for HIS glory and honor that I am able to help others through prayer and fasting.
