We are moving into a new spiritual dimension, a new plateau. And, we have been promised a time of rest and restoration – that is if we have come into divine order and if we have fought the good fight of faith. The Wresting Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Having done ALL stand (rest). Wresting (fighting the good fight) produces rest The word “rest” is found in the word “wrestle”. Rest comes because of the victory of wrestling. Trust in the Lord Trust – stand (at ease) and trust in the Lord to complete the victory. Psalm 5:11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. Psalm 25:2 O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me. Having done all – rest in the Lord and trust Him for the outcome; rest in faith. Mark 11:22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Verse 2, standing (resting in faith). A new plateau – a new level of trust and faith will be the result of resting in this new spiritual habitation. Those who don’t come into rest will find themselves wrestling. Make it a point to go to Jesus (in prayer) and ask for this rest. Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." “I will give you rest.” Rest Defined Hebrews 3: 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." 16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Hebrews 4: 1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works"; 5 and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest." 6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts." 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. Ceasing from our own works and allowing God to complete the work and bring the victory. Where is the rest? Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. The Throne of Grace The Trumpet: Come before My throne of grace, you children of Zion, and I will surely anoint you for the season that is before you. I shall give to you strength, power and revelation of the Kingdom for these days. I will bestow it upon you in a heartbeat, in a moment. Be ready for the lightning flash that I will bring to open the way and clear a path for you to walk in the goodness of the Lord. I come to "grace" you with the oil of anointing, the power of the Spirit within. This is My purpose, says the Lord. All you must do is be willing as you say, "Here I am, Lord; let it be to me according to your word."
Grace is empowerment; restoration takes place in God’s presence in the third dimension (Holy of Holies) where man ceases from his own efforts and partakes of the glory of God. Isaiah 28:12 To whom He said, "This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest," And, "This is the refreshing"; Yet they would not hear. Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord Refreshing – a cooling like a soft finishing rain – fresh rain and fresh oil. To gain new vitality. The House of Refreshing I had a vision of the true church coming out of Mystery Babylon, and they went up to a mountain and crossed a bridge to go to Zion. I then had another vision of three houses in Zion. The first house was the House of Restoration.
To be restored: Hosea 6:1-3 Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth. Come! Let us return to the Lord – seeking first the Kingdom. The Purpose of Rest Is obviously to be restored, rejuvenated, to regain vitality, health and strength. But, that isn’t all! It is to gain a new, higher level of trust and faith. It is to come into His presence and pursue the knowledge of the Lord (Hosea 6:3). In the finishing (refreshing rain) word we were told a ladder was set in our midst. The Trumpet: I say to you, My people, that I have brought you to this place to receive the glory of the latter rain. These are the finishing rains that shall bring the Bride to perfection. I set a ladder in your midst. If you have eyes to see, you will see that this ladder ascends into the cloud of My glory. Above this cloud are the flashing rays of My hand that I will lay upon you as you come up higher. Many of you believe that you have neither the strength, courage, nor the ability to climb this ladder. But, I say that if you will begin upon your knees, the first rung shall be easy to find. As you take each subsequent step My presence will become strong and the glory shall overshadow you. You shall be changed, transformed. You shall be like My Son, the Beloved, the Firstborn. Come without hesitation. Abandon all that would hold you back. Leave your unbelief behind, says the Lord.
Word from Patty Kerst: 9.22.07 I saw an eagle go up the ladder (Jesus) into the cloud of God’s glory and gather bolts of lightening in his claw. They became arrows when he came back down. The Lord said “I will show you when and where to release my lightening into the earth. Wait upon Me, listen and I will reveal the exact moment to strike. When I say strike, then strike with the Word of My power.” Zech 9:14 Then the LORD will be seen over them, And His arrow will go forth like lightning. This is a season in which we will be equipped for a new level of warfare. New levels/new devils. Right now it is time to rest, come before the Throne, ascend Jacob’s ladder and be restored in hope and vision.
The Trumpet: The Lord says that everything will be okay in spite of the harassment from the devil. The promises that I have given you will bring you into a time of the recovery of all things. What things? All things that you have lost, whether it be your faith, your desire to serve Me, your closeness to Me, your knowledge of Me, the prosperity that I have spoken of, health in your body or your strength -- all things that you have lost. You are coming into a season of promise, which will bring the recovery of all things that the enemy has taken. Only believe and move forward in this season with faith and your eyes fixed wholly upon Me, for I am the Lord of Glory.
His Word has decreed a season of rest, restoration and recovery – it is yours if you believe the word and are obedient to His instructions!
