In my small group meeting this week we made a listing of the factors that can contribute to our being deceived by the enemy's use of "smoke and mirrors", which was part of the manna word this week from FT. I thought they might help us be "on guard" against this.

These factors were:

1. fantasy
2. soul desires/lliving in the non-spiritualized emotions
3. spiritual ignorance (lack of knowledge of the Word)
4. wrong doctrine
5. unScriptural world view (knowing the Word but not applying it correctly to our global construct of reality)
6. making excuses for why we are not doing what we know we should
7. trying to figure out solutions instead of turning to God and letting Him "do"

We are in a strategic time when we need to be vigilant as we continue to rest in the LORD in preparation for what He desires to do in us next. Resting but not idle, aware of the lull, the short break spoken of this morning yet ever aware He is still actively at work around us, in us. Thank you Angela for the perspectives.

Just last week in our group the word came to examine our fruit...this week it went deeper...what seed are you sowing that produces your fruit? Now Marsha brings forth the understanding of the need to 'protect the seed'.
It is such a blessing to have this forum where different pieces of the puzzle are revealed bringing greater clarity and understanding.

Praise God He is forever speaking, forever faithful, forever!

Amen! It gives life to the Scripture (my paraphrase), that in a multitude of counselors there is wisdom. It also helps us to understand that the Body is not a single-cell organism, but a complicated structure which needs everyone in their right placement of discernment and action in order for the whole to function in a state of health.
