I had been crying out to the Lord for understanding of, and healing from the wounding from, inconsistent behavior by a close friend of mine in our relationship.

At 11:00 pm I awoke and again turned to Him in prayer. As I did so, the Holy Spirit showed me that what I was seeing was the spiritual force of "doublemindedness". This was the first time I had come to understanding of this as a spiritual force.

Now, I am seeking understanding into its nature, its origins, and most of all, how to appropriately deal with it in another human being.

Doublemindedness is first a condition of the soul, the flesh, and then can become a spiritual stronghold. I tend to believe that it is the result of a three-fold cord consisting of a lying spirit, spirit of fear and deaf & dumb spirit. You can't do anything about another person's soul (mind, will, emotions) because you cannot violate their free will, but you can bind (not cast out) this demonic trio.

Double mindedness come when bondages are trying to be broken. For instance if you are praying for certain areas of your life which were revealed to you by the Holy Spirit adn you have began asking for healing or more understanding in this area, the spirits assigned to this area will bring about confusion to your mind.

In my research and findings, the spirit of Jezebel is the main strong hold with this double mindedness. This is one of the three strongholds which work together. Normally the spirit of fear, torment, harrassment as well as the lying spirit is involved. There is then heaviness, oppression, depression and a spirit of death hovering around. Please note that the month of October is a difficult month as all the witchraft spirits are prowling around at this time which make it even more difficult, but remember we have been given power over the enemy. They will fight but stand strong.

I recommed reacding a book called " The bait if Satan" It is written by John Bevere. Hopefully this will give you some insights to the different offenses that allow satan to come and form bondages with us.
