Hello folks...would love to grab hold of any insights you may have!

Over a year ago, a good friend {heard a word about her future mate}. I prayed with her about this subject.

Recently, i have been getting very agitated and frustrated in my spirit concerning this situation.
It feels like the matter has taken a turn toward manipulation and soulish realm prayers. {this man is not aware of the extent of her emotions for him}.

I understand my friend's longings but i have NO desire to COMPROMISE truth. i have tried to be gentle in this matter but something feels very misaligned. I am not doing so well, in the grace & love department.

I see where the enemy wants to cause division between friends.
Any wisdom on these types of situations would be a GLORIOUS BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!!!

If I could be a little more direct, it seems that your friend is spending much time praying over this potential mate, even to the point of manipulation. We have seen this with many people, especially as they get older and have a sense of desperation to find a mate.

There is sort of a downward spiral that happens with them, so we counsel them on their approach. Many Christians are inclined to pray their own will concerning another and this in our opinion is dangerous. Why? Because when a person uses a spiritual thing to manipulate, dominate or control another person, they are entering into witchcraft, although they may not realize it. True witches do precisely the same thing although we like to think that as Christians we are far away from such things. Soul power, which comes from a carnal mind (emotions even), is powerful enough to manipulate others, and this is a door that one should avoid going through.

These witchy behaviors are unlawful and therefore carry with them a set of consequences. Never have I seen a time when a christian was attempting to move the soul of another that they were successful. Judgment in the form of struggle or death results, even if it is not physical. For your friend, make the view of Christ very plain. He does not manipulate men's souls nor does he resort to such tactics. He gives us a choice in the way we go, i.e. submit yourselves to God...It is the work of the enemy to force a matter i.e. ...resist the devil. Surely your friend will be able to see the difference. She can be sure that God will not bless such an approach.
