FAITH WORKS by Bill Burns:
Mark 9:23 “If you can believe, all
things are possible to him who believes.”
And again in Mark 10:27 “With God
all things are possible.”
All things are promised in the Word of God, which is His covenant with us
through Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 7:22 by so much more
Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.
Surety=guarantee
All the promises are Yes (spoken and written) and Amen
(guaranteed).
Psalm 16:11 You will show me the
path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are
pleasures forevermore.
The Path of Life in this season is the spiritual journey that we now find
ourselves on.
In my vision of the path of life I saw rest places where self-examination was to
take place. These were places that
were designed for you to first ask this question:
“What do I believe about this subject?”
Each rest stop was for the purpose of challenging your belief (faith) on
individual subjects.
1.
Do I believe that God’s covenant promises are real and that they are for me to
receive by faith? If you believe
that they are, then go after them.
Matthew 21:22 "And whatever things
you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
2.
Do you believe that faith works?
In Matthew 9:29 Jesus said, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
Luke 17:19 And He said to him,
"Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."
3.
Do you really believe in God’s covenant promise of healing?
Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for
our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
So examine yourself. Are you in
faith?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine
yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know
yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? —unless indeed you are disqualified.
4.
Do you believe that God wants you to prosper?
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray
that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
In All Things! To be
successful.
Psalm 1:
1 Blessed is the man Who walks not
in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in
the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of
the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree Planted
by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf
also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
5.
Do you believe that God will give you strength when needed?
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my
brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Proverbs 24:5 A wise man is strong,
Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength.
2 Timothy 2:1 You therefore, my
son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
6.
Do you believe that God will lead and guide you?
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led
by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide
you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones;
you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do
not fail.
John 16:13 "However, when He, the
Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not
speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will
tell you things to come.”
Guide you into victory?
Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things
we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to
God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the
fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
7.
Do you believe that God is in you, for you, and with you to help and empower
you?
Colossians 1:27 To them God willed
to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the
Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not
know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you
have from God, and you are not your own?
John 14:16 "And I will pray the
Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you
forever—“
If you involve yourself in this process, then God will help you, restore you,
and make you whole again—ready for the journey into this new season.
The Trumpet:
I am coming to you in this season
to help you amplify your faith so that it will work for you. You must use
your faith if you want it to get strong. My people should have a strong
faith that works for them. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch, stand fast in the
faith, be brave, be strong.
