A Deep
Clean
Due to above-average snowfall in our part of Colorado, we have an
unusual level of spring runoff at our house. The water supply for
our spring is flowing much faster than it does the rest of the year
and in any runoff season in years past. Under normal, steady flow
conditions, sediment, sand, and clay settle out in the collector box
at the spring source and the water is mostly clear when it reaches
the house. For the last two weeks, we have had so much water
flowing that all the sediment is being stirred up and carried away.
Instead of being clear, the water is turbid; things are very dirty
now, but when this runoff time if finished, it will have flushed out
what has slowly accumulated over the years.
The Lord said, Tap into the flow of
My Spirit that is performing a deep clean. You have been
moving through life at an unchanging pace (the status quo) and there
is a build up of sediment that I must stir up and carry away.
Satan's lies and the defilement of the world have settled on
your faith and vision, dulling your spiritual awareness
and incapacitating you. Take time to ask for and yield to the
conviction of the Holy Spirit. It may be a mess at first, but stick
close to Me and I will accomplish My purspose in you. Your
cleanness will send you to new heights of effectiveness in My
Kingdom. You can rely on My mercy.
Hebrews 4:6
Let us therefore come boldly to the
throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in
time of need.
Equipping
This year, we have decided our family activity will be to plan and
carry out a backpack camping trip. Therefore, I am presently
occupied with equipping each of us to safely carry out this
adventure. We are getting the right shoes, packs, clothes, cooking
tools, food, etc. We are also training and evaluating our routes
and destinations. My kids know that they want to go and explore new
territory and they are super excited, but they have no idea how they
are going to get there or what they will need to make this trip a
reality. This doesn't dampen their enthusiasm or expectation in a
any way...why? Because they trust that I am taking care of
preparing them and providing for their journey. Selah.
My children, I have truly called
you to live life in the Kingdom as a grand adventure. Your destiny
in Me is a process of exploration and discovery from journey to
journey. In every season I have prepared and equipped you with all
that you have needed to overcome, and this season is no different.
Look ahead with excitement and expectation as I prepare your heart
and your path. Trust Me; I've got you covered!
Isaiah 4:5-6
5 then the
LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above
her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a
flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a
covering. 6 And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime
from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm
and rain.
