Lay Down Your Old Cloak to Take Up the New

    Now go, My child, into a new phase, a new "era," if you please, even a new dispensation of God's grace, doing a new thing. Old things have passed away; the old lifestyle is gone. It is removed from you like a cloak or garment and a new one is held out for you to put on. It takes a choice. You must utterly lay down the old one (even your identity is laid down with it) in order to take up the new.
     The new cloak will reveal itself progressively in brilliance but it will be a humble ,brown  garment at first, like rough burlap,. It might chafe and seem uncomfortable and it might not rest well upon your shoulders and neck. But if you wear it humbly, in its humility, it will begin to shine and soften and settle comfortably upon your shoulders.
    Now in this key time of transition, your decision and choices are critical. You are very much in My hands. Now is the time for wisdom, My child, for pressing in to Me for the absolutely right choices. It is no time for lightly-made decisions, no trivially-based choices, but for serious, sober consideration in a time of critical importance for you in the spirit.

 

Testing in the Crucible of My Love

    Be Mine! Be Mine forever! Be all Mine, My bride, My beloved one. Be tested and true, found reliable in the crucible of My love. For all love receives its test, and yours is no different. But since it is the love between the bride and her Savior it is tested in the hottest fires, for it must endure in perfection for all eternity.
    Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your love but rejoice, so that when the Bridegroom's glory is revealed you also may rejoice with triumph. You will share His glory. You will walk in His shining radiance. You will gaze full upon His face and go from glory to glory in knowing Him. You will share His every thought and flow with Him in His every action and initiative. You will be one with Him, a holy and awesome calling that does not come without cost.
    Do not fix your gaze on this momentary light affliction for it yields for you a weight of glory. Fix your gaze on Him during this fiery trial, and that locked gaze of two beings sharing and transforming their hearts with one another shall last for all eternity. And that "knowing" (intimate love-sharing) will ever increase.

1 Peter 1: 6-7  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire  - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
